1. Privacy Policy

Introduction. AtlasOra ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Platform. It aligns with GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act 2018, and the Estonian Personal Data Protection Act. Data Controller: Masaora Foundation. EU Representative: Andrew Deighan. Information We Collect

  • Personal Info: name, email, payment information, physical address.
  • Booking Info: dates, property details, messages, reviews, check-in/out confirmations.
  • Technical: IP, device ID, cookies, usage data, location.
  • Blockchain: public wallet addresses, on-chain escrow records, $AORA balances.

How We Use Data

  • Facilitate bookings and payments; verify identity (KYC/AML); provide support; improve the platform.
  • Marketing with consent; legal compliance; token operations and governance participation.

Legal Basis (GDPR)

Contractual necessity, legitimate interests (e.g., fraud prevention), legal obligation, and consent (withdraw anytime).

Sharing & Disclosure

  • Service providers (payments, cloud, analytics), between users (as needed for bookings), legal requirements, business transfers.
  • Some transaction data is recorded on public blockchains and cannot be deleted.

Retention & Rights

  • Retention for as long as needed (e.g., 7 years for financial records). Deleted accounts: most data within 30 days; some retained for compliance.
  • Your rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, consent withdrawal, and lodging a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

Security & Children

Industry-standard security measures (encryption, MFA, audits). Not intended for users under 18.

We use cookies and similar tech. Changes to this policy will be communicated via email or prominent notice.

2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview. AtlasOra is committed to fair and transparent cancellations. Hosts choose their own cancellation policy; AtlasOra cannot override it. The 5% guest service fee is non-refundable unless covered by the host’s policy.

Guest-Initiated Cancellations

  1. Go to Trips → select booking → Cancel Booking.
  2. Confirm and optionally provide a reason.
  3. Refund is processed to the original payment method.

Host-Initiated Cancellations

  • Guest: full refund. Host: penalties may apply (blocked dates, suspension on repeats). Emergency exceptions with evidence.

Extenuating Circumstances

Full refunds for unforeseeable events (e.g., death, serious illness, government restrictions, natural disasters, declared emergencies, jury duty/military deployment) with documentation. Claim via support@atlasora.com.

Property Not as Described

  • Report at check-in, provide evidence; if unresolved within 24h and verified, full refund may apply.

Disputes, No-Show, Appeals

  • Escalations to AO Reclaim keep funds in escrow until a binding decision.
  • Guest no-show: no refund. Host no-show: full refund + assistance up to 150% of booking value.
  • Appeals: email appeals@atlasora.com within 14 days.
3. Host Agreement

Introduction. Agreement between Masaora OÜ, trading as AtlasOra, and you (the Host). By listing a property, you agree to this Agreement, the Terms of Service, and applicable policies.

Eligibility & Listing

  • 18+, legal authority to list, comply with local laws, provide accurate verification, maintain valid payout method.
  • Accurate info, disclose relevant details, no misleading content, meet quality standards.

Pricing & Fees

Host service fee: 0.7% per booking payout. Taxes are your responsibility; AtlasOra may auto-collect occupancy taxes in some jurisdictions.

Management & Check-in

  • Instant book or approvals; respond within 24h; keep calendar updated; provide check-in instructions ≥48h before arrival.

Instant Payouts (Escrow)

  • Blockchain-based escrow. Released immediately after guest confirms check-in; auto-release after 24h if no confirmation. Payouts: bank transfer, Revolut and similar, or optional $AORA.

Responsibilities, Reviews, Prohibited Activities

  • Maintain safety and cleanliness; respond fast; safety gear required (smoke/CO detectors where applicable). No discrimination, off-platform payments, or retaliation.

Damage, Liability & Disputes

  • Host damage protection up to $200,000; liability coverage up to $200,000. Disputes follow AO Support protocol.

Suspension/termination possible for violations. Updates with 30 days’ notice. Contact: hosts@atlasora.com.

4. Guest Standards & Community Guidelines

Purpose. Build trust, respect, and community.

Respectful Behaviour

  • Treat properties with care; follow house rules; report damage; no indoor smoking unless permitted; respect neighbours and quiet hours.

Prohibited Conduct & House Rules

  • No exceeding guest limits, unauthorized events, illegal activities, or harassment. Failure to follow rules may result in removal without refund.

Communication & Safety

  • Use in-app messaging; be responsive; protect your account; review emergency info on arrival.

Reporting & Consequences

  • Contact host first for minor issues, AtlasOra support for serious ones. Violations can lead to warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans. Zero tolerance for discrimination and violence.

5. Payment Processing Terms

Overview & Partners. Secure payments via a mix of fiat and blockchain infrastructure. Partners include Revolut (fiat), Coinbase Commerce (crypto settlement), and smart-contract escrow on Base network.

Accepted Methods

  • Guests: cards, bank transfer (SEPA/SWIFT), Apple Pay/Google Pay, local methods. Hosts: bank transfer, Revolut/Wise.

How Escrow Works

  1. Guest pays → fiat converts to USDC → funds locked on-chain → release on check-in confirmation → convert back to fiat → host receives payout.

Fees

  • Guest service fee: 5% (includes processing & FX). Host fee: 0.7%.

Security, Refunds & Payouts

  • PCI DSS L1, 3DS2, encryption, MFA, fraud detection. Refunds processed within 24h of approval; card/bank crediting may take 5–10 business days. Standard payout on check-in confirmation; early payout for eligible hosts.

6. Dispute Resolution & AO Support

AO Support. Community-driven, on-chain arbitration with binding outcomes typically resolved within ~3 hours.

When to Use

  • Property not as described, cleanliness/safety issues, cancellations, damage claims, refund disagreements, behaviour violations, payment discrepancies.

Steps

  1. Direct resolution (within 24h of issue, 48h good-faith attempt).
  2. AtlasOra mediation.
  3. AO Support escalation with evidence → arbitrator decision → on-chain recording and automatic execution.

Outcomes & Appeals

  • Possible decisions: full/partial refund, no refund, or split. Appeals allowed within 14 days if new evidence or procedural error.

7. Token Terms ($AORA)

Introduction. $AORA is a utility token for rewards, discounts, governance, and arbitration staking. Not a security or investment; value is market-determined and can be volatile.

Utility

  • Earn for booking/hosting/referrals; pay part of bookings with $AORA; vote on policy/feature changes; stake to become arbitrator; early access & priority support.

Distribution

Total supply: 200,000,000. Allocation: Community 25%, Team 25%, Advisors 5% (4-year vesting, 1-year cliff), Ecosystem 5%, Investors 30%, Initial Liquidity 5%.

Compliance & Risks

  • Designed as a utility token; subject to MiCA and evolving regulations. KYC/AML may apply. Market risks include volatility and regulatory changes.

Governance

  • 1 token = 1 vote; proposals with 10,000+ tokens; 7-day discussion + 7-day voting; 5% quorum; execution within 30 days.

8. Trust & Safety Policy

Commitment. Verification, ongoing monitoring, privacy protection, and strong incident response to maintain community integrity.

  • Gov-ID for hosts, address & payment verification; secure messaging; payment protection; property safety standards; 24/7 emergency support.

Prohibited Conduct

  • Illegal activities, violence, harassment, discrimination, sexual exploitation, fraud/scams, fake listings/reviews.

Actions & Appeals

  • Warnings, suspensions, permanent bans for severe/repeated violations. Appeal within 30 days. Quarterly transparency reports.

9. Cookie Policy
